Ross with Keith Burns.
As soon as we turned off of Highway 74 on the way to Perris Raceway, we knew that riders and friend had turned out in force to support Ross Maeda. Late in the Summer he’d had a bad wreck…one that left him with a spinal injury, and working to regain use of his lower extremities. The ride day was all about helping him out, and he was truly blown away with the response. From our point of view it shouldn’t have been a surprise. As KYB’s point man in the U.S., he’s worked with plenty of teams and riders over the years. He’s a great storyteller, an all-around cool guy, and always fun to hang out with. Those are a few of the reasons why everyone showed him so much support.

The ways to help at the Ride Day were numerous. Raffles, track admission, auctions, donations, and more. It was cool to see the results.
|
Lots of fast pros came out to show their support, like Ivan Tedesco and Wil Hahn (shown here), and Jeremy McGrath, Ricky Dietrich, Broc Tickle, Darryn Durham, Sean Hamblin, Josh Hansen, and more.
Ross has started an aggressive rehab program called Project Walk, and if you want more info on how you can help out, or get the latest update from Ross and Swap? Check out rossiproject.com.

Even the Metal Mulisha came out for a freestyle demo.
